Respect
There is a joy in listening to the passion patriotism, optimism and humility of this brave and decent man so well narrated. Sadly in the back of the mind knowing the outcome defies all human instincts of fairness and justice . Wake up Russia, do not let evil win . God bless his wife and family and friends . all power to decent Russians where ever they are today

Heart breaking account
An incredible account of one persons fight against the corrupt country in which they were born and raised.
Selflessly putting their desire for a fair society for all to benefit over their own safety and ultimately their health and wellbeing.

A Book Everyone Should Read
A MustRead memoir of a man with enormous courage and resilience in a struggle for freedom and democracy. Coming from a country which was involved, is involved, in a protracted struggle for freedom and democracy, it is impossible not to draw comparisons with the South African struggle. An important and well-read book for anyone with an interest in world and/or Eastern European politics, and the struggle for freedom and democracy. One cannot but be left with an overwhelming sense of awe at the courage and commitment of this man. A true hero of the people.

Amazing!
Beautiful writing, worthy and meaningful subject matter. Navalny will go down in history as the latter day Solzhenitsyn, a Russian tragedy worthy of Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, yet it is real and modern!

A man unto himself
A brilliant and inspiring read. Despite the consistently dour and terrifying circumstances Navalny finds himself in, his voice remains laced with humour, strength and resilience. An utterly awesome and incredible man.

Remarkable Book
I was surprised by his honesty and lack of ego; delighted by his acts of resistance in prison such as remaining cheerful against all the odds and the way he faced his fate without despair AND did his best to try to make you believe that he wasn’t an exceptional man ( with a remarkable family too) . RIP Alexei. And it was beautifully read by Matthew Goode.
