About this listen
From the producers of the Maze Runner trilogy comes this fictional oral history of the appearance of dragons on earth, starring Hayley Atwell (Mission Impossible), Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four, The Shield), Aldis Hodge (Justice League), Greta Lee (Russian Doll, Past Lives), Jimmi Simpson (Dark Matter, Westworld), and a full cast. A riveting listen perfect for fans of World War Z and Sleeping Giants.
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them. When the defense strategy hits on a breakthrough at the same time Neve receives a lead regarding her missing son, she finds herself torn between what is personal to her and what is necessary for mankind’s survival: hope.
Full cast of narrators include: Richard Tatum, Chioke I’Anson, Gail Shalan, Rez Kempton, Judy Gold, Piper Goodeve, Gregory Connors.
Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

dragons
The story line is intriguing and I was hoping it would live up to the description but I really struggling to get into it. The interviews were a bit far fetched in their need to describe themselves and their backgrounds. I thought these people were just meeting the interviewer for the first time to discussing the day the dragons came yet they were discussing who they use to fool around with and local gossip, instead of actually first hand accounts of seeing dragons. Stop listening.

Dragons
The main character is detestable. Dragon stuff is cool. Sadly it's mostly the main character being a terrible reporter, mother and survivor.

Modern day Pern
Very original format. Great story. Excellent narration. So many interesting characters.
Minor issue with background sounds, although it added context, through headphones it was slightly distracting.
Still a great story.

Interesting take on the apocalyptic genre
Great sci-fi. Interesting throughout. Runs out of fire a bit at the end (pardon the pun). For sci-fi fans.

A really cool approach for a great story
Rather than a story being narrated in "real time" this story is a series of interviews that stitch together to tell a really cool story with unexpected twists.
If you were a fan of Reign of Fire, you will love this.
Dragons erupt from the earth across the globe and start a scale of Destruction that is unprecedented.
Unaffected by bullets, napalm, fire, or explosives, armies and experts across the world try to figure out how they can save humanity.
With the help of an ornithologist, a reporter and a couple of scientists, the story unfolds over a series of interviews that crafted a fantastic story.
Thisnwas well written and superbly dramatised.

Good story with a modern twist to dragons
Overall good story with a rushed ending. I expected a war of the world's style ending with the dragons just dying off, so I was pleasantly suprised.

Weird but Awesome
‘This is weird.’ That was my first thought at listening to this book. ‘But it’s kinda awesome,’ was my second.
The interview style of storytelling brought to mind the Name of the wind, while the story itself made me think of the Reign of fire movie. It’s well written, with a wonderful display of characters that are brought to life by a cast of narrators that surpass the quality of any I have heard before.
